1. Tell us about your background. Have you always been interested in music?

Sugar Jesus: "I learned the piano growing up and soon developed a love for songwriting and electronic music."

2. How would you describe your music or producing style?

Sugar Jesus: "I make dance music that hits you in the feels."

‍

3. What project or song do you feel most proud of?

‍

Sugar Jesus: "Most proud of my collaborations with Nina Carr and Kiesza."

4. Which artist(s) would you love to collaborate with someday?

‍

Sugar Jesus: "I've been fortunate to collaborate with many incredible artists already. Would love to get in the studio with Azealia Banks one day, think we could make something wild."

5. How do you think AI music tools will change the music industry?

‍

Sugar Jesus: "I think they already have."

6. What inspires you and your music and work? Where do you find creative inspiration?

Sugar Jesus: "From everywhere really, I love going to live music and listening to movie soundtracks."

7. What advice would you give to aspiring musicians who want to break into the industry?

‍

Sugar Jesus: "Work hard, keep at it and be prepared when opportunities do present themselves."

8. Who are your creative influences? Who inspires your work?

Sugar Jesus: "Too many to list, growing up I was a huge Underworld fan."

9. What do you hope to be doing in your music career in the next 5 or 10 years?

‍

Sugar Jesus: "Hopefully releasing lots of music, working on new exciting collaborations and playing out from time to time."

10. What is something surprising about yourself that people may not know? Any secret talents?

Sugar Jesus: "I'm a big Chelsea FC fan."

Sugar Jesus: "Collaboration."

12. How did the pandemic affect your music career?

‍

Sugar Jesus: "I was lucky to stay relatively busy working remotely in the studio. Happy to be back to in-person studio sessions now where possible."

13. What advice would you give to your younger self?

‍

Sugar Jesus: "Listen to more music, read more books."

Sugar Jesus: "I have a new single 'All or Nothing' out on Hot Vibes on 6th October with Sammy & Lesen and Alex Jacquin."
